Whether you are buying or selling a business, dealing with past, present or future income tax issues or trying to find financing for your next business venture, Brian’s first hand knowledge of the financial world will help solve your problem.
Throughout his career, Brian has successfully completed many of the Professional Development courses offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Canadian tax Foundation, the Strategy Institute and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Among these courses are: Raising Private Equity and Risk Capital, Personal Financial Planning, numerous income tax courses including those on Estate & Succession Planning, Business Valuations, Successful Negotiations and Business Succession for the Entrepreneurial Client. Mediating commercial disputes is one of Brian's unique skills as a CA. One of the few CAs in Ontario to act as a mediator, he views alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as the key to helping resolve commercial disputes. From shareholder disagreements to construction lien disputes, Brian's knowledge of financial affairs and ADR has made him a real asset to clients seeking to settle disputes out of court.
When not involved with helping to solve client problems, Brian is likely to be found relaxing at home by reading a novel or taking part in one of his favourite sports: skiing, skating, swimming, biking, fishing, hiking or golf.
Now semi-retired and working part time, Brian’s passion for the firm and his profession continue, he truly enjoys being involved with the success of the firm’s various clients and welcomes the opportunity to discuss your needs privately and can be reached at 613-596-2767 extension 226 or by email bscott@srgg.com.
