Without a knowledgeable CA by their side, many businesses end up lost in a sea of numbers. A practicing accountant since 1998, Richard Allison has the experience to guide you through the often-murky financial waters.

Richard joined Scott, Rankin & Gardiner, LLP in 2001 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2003. Being skilled in many areas of accounting, he specializes in helping owner-managers and entrepreneurs with year-end statements, corporate taxes and tax planning. Small, medium or large, he is comfortable working with any size and type of business in Ottawa.

Richard is continually striving to expand his professional skills, taking regular professional development courses through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario on a variety of topics, including staying up-to-date with the latest auditing procedures.  His knowledge is greatly appreciated not only by his clients, but by our staff as well — he frequently assists with the training of new staff on how to use these tools efficiently so they can quickly and easily meet their clients' needs.

Although he leads a busy life as a Chartered Accountant, Richard still finds time to give back to the community. He has served as the Treasurer of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation since January 2005, and on the day of the festival, he helps participants at the docks by managing the flow of team members in and out of the boats — an apt parallel to his excellent work as a Manager at Scott, Rankin & Gardiner, LLP.
