Doug is also backed by an impressive knowledge of personal financial planning, investment management, including estates, retirement and education planning, and personal and corporate income tax planning. He has completed the Canadian Securities Course as well as the Professional Financial Planning Course from the Canadian Securities Institute. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) as licensed with the Financial Planners Standard Council.

Committed to the principle of professional development, Doug regularly participates in courses offered by such organizations as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Canada Tax Foundation. Doug also spends considerable time working within the franchise sector, and has assisted franchisees with financing, accounting and tax planning.
